About us
On October 26-27, 2012, the first Better Together Dubuque weekend will take place, beginning with Friday night social activities, followed on Saturday by a day-long conference at the Grand River Center, and ending on Saturday evening with a party for all ages in the Grand River Center Exhibit Hall.
Presented by Riverview Center and Human Rights Commission with support from our sponsors, we hope to embody Dubuque’s vision of social and cultural vibrancy by attracting and retaining leaders and workers with a variety of backgrounds. We want Dubuque to be a safe and welcoming community for all people and to strengthen our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, plus (LGBT+) community. We hope the conference will help create safety and promote inclusion in our schools, workplaces, and larger community. We are building a better community together in Dubuque.
